Karrie and Joey began their journey as husband and wife on May 3rd, 2025, at her family’s farm in McBee, South Carolina. The day started with a gentle breeze and a soft overcast sky, creating a serene backdrop for their wedding ceremony. As the celebrations unfolded, dark clouds rolled in, leading to a downpour during the reception. If rain on your wedding day brings good fortune, then Karrie and Joey’s marriage is sure to be incredibly blessed!

The wedding party was a close-knit group, lively with excitement. The girls gathered in a cozy barndominium, their laughter echoing as they played upbeat music, shared stories, and enjoyed a delicious lunch. Meanwhile, the groomsmen kept the mood light and fun throughout the day with their laughter and joy. Karrie and Joey are one of the sweetest couples I have ever had the honor of photographing. Karrie radiated happiness, her easygoing nature just shone through as she prepared to marry the man of her dreams. Joey mirrored her joy with his friendly demeanor, continually making everyone around him smile and laugh. In a sweet blend of tradition and intimacy, Karrie and Joey chose to share a first touch by the grain silos. It was a beautiful, tender moment that allowed them to uphold the tradition of not seeing each other before the ceremony while also savoring a few private seconds together. Karrie’s dad walked her down the aisle with a shotgun playfully slung over his shoulder, creating a ripple of laughter throughout the crowd. This lighthearted gesture vividly illustrated the joyful dynamic between Karrie, Joey, and her father. Adding to the warmth of the day, Joey’s longtime best friend officiated their wedding, encircling the couple in love that radiated from every corner of the celebration.

The décor was a heartfelt reflection of their passions, showcasing everything they cherished: spaniel dogs, Clemson Tigers, and beautiful elements from Sox's Farm. The venue was adorned with at least fifty lush ferns and hundreds of stunning blue hydrangeas intertwined with vibrant greenery. It was breathtaking—simple yet elegant, perfectly mirroring Karrie’s personality and style. Though the heavens opened up and rain poured down during the reception, the celebration showed no signs of dimming. Guests twirled and danced in the rain, embodying Karrie’s spirit—an avid reminder that life’s storms can be met with joy and celebration.

My favorite part of the day was witnessing the immense love that surrounded Karrie and Joey. Everyone in Karrie’s family, including Karrie herself, poured their hearts and souls into preparing the farm for their day. From building the venue, arranging the gorgeous décor, and even the event planning, every detail reflected love and care. It was a truly magical day, and I am overjoyed for this beautiful couple as they embark on a lifetime filled with love and happiness!
