When it came time for Riley to propose, Ashleigh had just graduated from nursing school a few weeks prior, and he booked a couples photo session at Huntington Beach. He’s not the best at keeping secrets, so she had a feeling he had something up his sleeve since he was the one who booked and messaged the photographer—she says she usually handles stuff like that—but ultimately was surprised at the end. After it was over, he told her while they were walking down the path to the castle that he was able to give the ring to the photographer, and later on the beach, they did somewhat of a hugging pose. That is when the photographer gave the ring to Riley, so that when they stepped away from the pose, he got on one knee—such a super sweet moment. When asked what they love most about one another, Ashleigh says she loves how Riley can make her smile and laugh in any situation. Riley says he loves Ashleigh's eyes, her personality, and how she cares for him and others.
