It was an overcast morning when I arrived at the Cabin at Old Spur for Jeremy and Rebecca’s wedding. The clouds were great considering how quickly it warmed up. Rebecca was all laughs and smiles when I walked in! Her bridesmaids and family were so welcoming. I felt like I was at home! Rebecca decided she wanted to read letters with Jeremy before the ceremony. After everyone was dressed and the moment came Jeremy and Rebecca poured their hearts to one another (not going to lie I almost cried when Jeremy read his letter). There are many reasons why these two are perfect for each other. Not just the way they laugh together, or the fact that neither one of them like cake. It’s how they met at the perfect time in life. Just when they least expected it. They are always there for each other and continue to grow.
Jeremy’s reaction when he saw Rebecca walking down the aisle was everything. Tears rolling down and huge smile on his face! You couldn’t ask for a more genuine reaction. They stood in front of their family and closest friends to vow to love each other forever. They exchanged their rings (Jeremy loved that his had the same blue color as his car lol). Rebecca and Jeremy chose to braid three strands for their unity ceremony. Then the moment they were so ready for was their first kiss as man and wife!
During the reception it was time to give the toasts! Of course, the best man and maid of honor gave beautiful speeches. Jeremy’s parents’ speech came and they read a beautiful letter from Jeremy’s father… after this there was a dry eye in the house! It was so heartfelt and beautiful moment in the day. Rebecca’s grandfather said a traditional Irish prayer for them and then one for the parents of the bride and groom. They spent the rest of their afternoon celebrating their beautiful day! They ended it being bombarded with confetti string that surprisingly drowned them.
It was a great day and I am so happy I was a part of it! Congratulations to Mr. & Mrs. Poole! Wishing you many blessings in your marriage.
