On July, 20th I traveled to Simpsonville, SC to document Jared & Elizabeth tying the knot! The venue was absolutely adorable. It was a rustic barn with a pecan grove in the background. There were lights strung throughout the field where Jared and Elizabeth would say I do. It created such a romantic setting for a wedding ceremony!
I always enjoy the getting ready moments! Not only do I get to spend time with Elizabeth. I also get to hear funny stories about the bride and groom! I remember the girls talking about having to cover blemishes with makeup (which by the way all of the girls were stunning!). Elizabeth said, "Girls freak over a tiny zit, but they will go 60 miles per hour over a speed bump and say whoops!" This made me laugh so hard because it is so true!
Elizabeth and her girls were talking about Jared, and the things they were saying melt my heart! Out of everything Elizabeth said the statement that stuck in my mind the most was "It's no longer I & Me, but now its we." That is what marriage is all about! Being there for one another, and remembering you are one.
I got to spend a few moments with just Jared before the ceremony started. We were talking about how ready he was to see Elizabeth. I said to him your bride looks so beautiful! He said with the biggest smile, " She always does." It wasn't what he said, but how he said this made me feel warm and fuzzy! His smiled said everything!
It was time for their ceremony, and it was perfect! There was a nice breeze to keep you from melting in the hot summer sun. Watching Elizabeth walk towards the aisle with the wind blowing through her veil was nothing short of elegant! Jared couldn't stop smiling when he saw Elizabeth for the first time. The ceremony was absolutely beautiful, and sweet! Everything went perfect!
The reception was gorgeous! It was filled with love from family and friends. Eating amazing food, and dancing to great music!
I grabbed Jared & Elizabeth to sneak out to get some fun photos while the sun was setting. I also did this so they can spend some time together away from the hustle and bustle!
The night ended with a great sparkler send off! As the new Mr. & Mrs. Dukes walked off into the pecan grove I couldn't help but think there is not a moment more perfect than this!
Here is a list of vendors who made this day so great!
