September 28th was a gorgeous day! I traveled to Pawleys Island to capture Geoffrey & Kaytlin's wedding day. I was so excited to finally meet them and let me tell ya, they didn't disappoint! Kaytlin was so sweet. She made me and my team feel welcomed. Geoffrey was a joy to work with! He took his GQ moment very seriously.
Kaytlin's mother Carol helped her finish getting ready on the beautiful porch. They faced one another and instantly the tears began to fall. Kaytlin was overwhelmed with emotion and had to tell her mom she wasn't allowed to talk! It was a beautiful moment between mother and daughter.
Kaytlin decided to do a first look with her father (which is always adorable). He had the biggest smile when he turned around and saw his beautiful daughter in her wedding gown. Instead of him making her cry, he made her laugh! He joked about the little bit of weight he gained and was unable to button his jacket. They both laughed at this!
It was time for the ceremony to start. As I watched Kaytlin come down the beautiful staircase in the Heritage Golf Clubhouse, she looked so elegant and poised coming down. I felt like I was in the middle of a movie!
Kaytlin & Geoffrey held their ceremony under old mossy oak trees overlooking the marsh. It was the perfect time of day! One of the sweetest things about their ceremony was Kaytlin's grandfather was the officiant. This added an extra touch of sentiment to the ceremony. When Geoffrey saw Kaytlin walking towards him he had a smile so big you could see it from a mile away. Kaytlin had happy tears to see her sweet groom waiting for her. They said their vows, exchanged their rings, and sealed it all with a kiss! They were now husband and wife.
The rest of the evening could not have gone any better! We hit the perfect time for their bride and groom portraits. I had so much fun capturing those first few moments of their new life together. They were so full of love and laughter!
Their reception was beautiful and full of spending time with family (and let's not forget about the cake!). We sent Geoffrey & Kaytlin off with a dazzling sparkler exit. They drove off into the night with a hilariously decorated golf cart as we wished them both a happy marriage!
