They first met on Friday the 13th of 2018 at a Florence After 5 event. He was with his cousin and she was with her aunt. Their groups ended up mingling throughout the event and Chase and Lauren talked the rest of the night. He was such a gentleman and made sure Lauren made it to her car safely and he also took this opportunity to ask for her number. They stayed in constant contact and in her own words, “The rest was history!”
For their first date Chase picked Lauren up on his motorcycle (not sure if getting on motorcycle with a stranger is safest thing? lol). They went to go get ice cream and decided to go for a swim. They had so much fun and stayed up into the early morning talking! After dating for awhile Chase decided he wanted to purpose to Lauren and had a special plan ready. It was the weekend his cousin was getting married which happens to fall on Friday the 13th. His cousin kept asking Lauren to go take a picture in front of the Christmas tree in the Victor’s courtyard. It was raining off and on but she finally said let’s go! They were all dressed up for his cousin’s rehearsal dinner so why not grab a cute picture. After the photos were taken, Lauren turned to walk away so they could get back to the party and Chase grabbed her hand. He got down on one knee and asked her if she would spend the rest of her life with him! She was in complete shock. Of course, she said yes! It was the best moment of her life.
It was only appropriate that we incorporated the place she said I do and his motorcycle into their engagement photos. We went downtown and went back to place where it all started. We even grabbed a few photos where he popped the question! We then went to another area to end the session with a smoke grenade, the sun setting, and Chase’s awesome Harley! This part of the session felt so natural and fun. I am so excited to be working with Chase & Lauren! I look forward to their October wedding!
