Carsten and Eden had a whole trip planned out for their three-year wedding anniversary. They were going to go to the beach for the week. Hurricane Dorian was barreling towards our coast, so their anniversary plans came to screeching halt. Eden sent me a text explaining the situation and asked if I could take photos for their anniversary. Of course, I jumped at this opportunity! Eden then mentioned that she would like her cute doodle Miller to be in the photos! I became even more excited since photographing dogs is where my career began.
We decided to shoot at The Grove. This is one of my favorite places to work! It is a beautiful green field in a Pecan Grove. The sunsets are always stunning in this area. The session was so fun and full of laughter! Miller was the star of the show with his bright smile and cute personality. I even convinced Carsten and Eden to show me their shagging skills (which I’m totally jealous about).
All was going well until my silly self tromped right through a gigantic ant bed. Note to self, always look where I am walking! After I shook off all of the ants, it was right back to it! We got an amazing sunset, and the session could not have gone anymore perfectly.
Carsten & Eden were so sweet and loving towards one another. It was truly a magical evening. The way they looked at one another was nothing short of legendary. I felt like I was in the middle of a Nicholas Sparks movie! Carsten definitely deserves brownie points for suggesting a couple’s session for an anniversary gift!
