It was wedding day for Brandon and Ashlyn! It felt like we have been talking and planning this day for years. I knew it was going to be a different kind of wedding day than any of the others I had previously been a part of. Mostly because it wasn’t drizzling or misting, but it poured rain all day! Despite that it was gorgeous wedding day.
I started the day by going to the Michael’s on Mane in Lake City, SC to meet the girls for hair and makeup. I walked in to see so many happy and excited family members. Some girls were getting their makeup, and others enjoying their time with Ashlyn. I walked around taking photos of it all, and I noticed a beautiful bouquet of roses on the table. Brandon ordered the bouquet for his bride and attached was a cute ornament for the first Christmas as husband and wife. While Ashlyn was getting ready, Brandon’s, mother saw her and immediately became emotional (which she said she wasn’t going to do!).
I arrived at Phillip’s Farm in Kingstree, SC. The venue had a beautiful pond and a cute barn where everyone was able to get ready. Brandon and the guys were hanging out, and getting ready for the ceremony. Ashlyn and her girls arrive shortly after and began getting their dresses on. Brandon and Ashlyn decided to exchange gifts to one another. Brandon received a beautiful watch that brought together his wedding day suit (which was custom tailored). Ashlyn got the sweetest letter and a beautiful ring with her new monogram!
Their guests began to arrive, and filled every seat. There were so many people to watch Brandon and Ashlyn say their “I do’s”. With the rain coming down, the ceremony started. One by one the family, and wedding party made it down the aisle. It was finally time for Brandon to see his bride for the first time. His whole face lit up as he watched Ashlyn walk towards him. They were finally face to face, and Ashlyn was given a mic. To Brandon’s surprise she began to sing to him! Her voice instantly brought warmth to the entire room. It was so beautiful and angelic like. Brandon fought back the emotion that wanted to emerge. Their love was so genuine and evident. They promised to love one another, keep God first in their marriage, and confirmed it all with a first kiss! They were now Mr. & Mrs. Brandon Morris.
They ate delicious food and danced with their wedding guests the rest of the night. I asked Brandon what he thought watching Ashlyn walk down the aisle. He told me she was beautiful and looked timeless! That described their whole wedding day... timeless!
Even with the weather not being great it didn’t stop them from making it their best day ever! If that’s not what marriage is all about then I don’t know what is. We sent the newlyweds off with a sparkler exit! They now can walk hand in hand through this crazy life together as Mr. & Mrs. Morris
